You receive a recorded lesson once a week for 6 weeks weeks to be completed on your own time.******** Students will learn about some of the things that veterinarians and veterinary technicians do to help keep animals happy and healthy....
I have been a certified veterinary technician for more than 30 years, have a MEd from Colorado State University and I am now finishing up my second Master’s program and will have a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine by spring 2024. I have taught at local community colleges in veterinary Assistant Programs and a variety of Veterinary Science programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school. I also teach at a local private college in their Equine Studies program. I am also a homeschool mom! At home, my family has 3 mini horses, a paint pony, 4 Nigerian dwarf goats, 11 chickens and 2 cats! I am absolutely passionate about sharing my experience and love for animals and veterinary medicine with others!
A Handout will be provided for class 3. Students should bring a stuffed cat or dog, and a small bath towel to class 2.
