5학년 수학 FLEX: 4부 좌표평면, 데이터, 연산 순서!

***Not necessary to take part 1, 2, or 3 to join this class! 

***If your child takes all 4 parts then they will cover then entire 5th grade curriculum!

In this FLEX class students will learn about the coordinate plane, line graphs, exponents, and order of operations!

Each week:

~ A math mini lesson video will be posted on Monday and Wednesday each week! 
~ At least one game per week will be posted
~ A homework assignment will be posted on Monday and Wednesday. Students will complete the assignment and submit a picture of their work to me through a message by 5pm EST each Friday. I will provide feedback on each assignment and the students will make corrections and resubmit. 
~ students will write their own word problem at the end of each week and post it in the classroom page. Other students will solve their problem!

Student to student interaction:
~ Students can post a picture of their points after playing the game! 

Student to Teacher interaction:
~ The student will complete two homework assignments each week and submit them to me via message. I will give prompt feedback to the student so that they can submit corrections!

Week 1: Quadrant 1 of the coordinate plane. Creating a coordinate plane. Naming and plotting points in the coordinate plane. 

Week 2: Drawing lines and quadrilaterals in the coordinate plane. Area and perimeter in the coordinate plane. Distance on the coordinate plane.

Week 3: Reading and interpreting line graphs.

Week 4: Exponents, using exponents to show powers of 10.

Week 5: Evaluating exponents!

Week 6: Order of operations. 

Week 7: Write and interpret numerical expressions. Then solve using order of operations. 

Week 8: Review Week!
