Learn all about World War II in the Far East - The CBI! (China, Burma, India) The Forgotten War" was fought in jungle terrain between the Japanese and the numerous Allied countries involved there: Great Britain, the United States, China, Australia, India and several more. The fate of India was at stake, which at the time was the Jewel in Britain's colonial crown.  The structure will include one immersive session which will cover the events leading up to the fighting resulting in victory in Burma. The session will cover:

The CBI Theater - China, Burma, India
The Importance of India
4 phases of the Burma Campaign
Jungle warfare - arguably the worst climate to fight in
The multi-national force
The Gurkhas

I teach by using slides, original photographs, video clips, discussions and more. There will be several question/answer periods during the session to address questions and comments.  Some prior knowledge of WWII helpful, but not a must. As the teacher, I will be dressed in an original WWII uniform for the session.
