SUMMER BREAK SESSION In this summer novel studies class we will be reading two novels. The first novel will be A Wrinkle in Time by Time by Madeleine L’Engle. During class we will engage in discussions about retelling content, identifying themes, deconstructing characters, making inferences and predictions, vocabulary skills, as well as practicing visualization. I have worked as an elementary school teacher and coach for the past 15 years. I specialize in teaching typical and special education students. I also have a background in art therapy which has aided my knowledge for using hands-on learning.
At least a week before class begins I will send the sequencing cards and any other visuals that students will need to print out in order to actively participate. For art activity: paper plate, construction paper, glue, crayons/markers, and pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
