Do you love Science? In this Ongoing Class, learners will explore a range of Science subjects in a fun and interactive way. This course aims to provide meaningful learning experiences for young explorers.

Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include experiments, Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, videos and much more. Some classes will include breakout rooms.  Learners will be encouraged to observe, explore, question and share what they learn. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs.

Week of 1/4/24 - What is Meteorology? - study of the atmosphere and weather
Week of 8/4/24 - What is Meteorology? - basic meteorological concepts, such as temperature, pressure, and humidity
Week of 15/4/24 - What is Meteorology? - Weather observation activity: keeping a daily weather journal and recording observations
Week of 22/4/24 - Atmospheric Layers and Composition - Earth's atmosphere, its layers, and composition
Week of 29/4/24 - Atmospheric Layers and Composition - Oceanography - role of gases, aerosols, and greenhouse gases in the atmosphere
Week of 6/5/24 - Atmospheric Layers and Composition - Atmospheric composition experiment: creating a model of Earth's atmosphere using different gases
Week of 13/5/24 - Solar Radiation and the Greenhouse Effect - solar radiation, insulation, and the greenhouse effect
Week of 20/5/24 - Solar Radiation and the Greenhouse Effect - Earth's energy balance and its impact on climate
Week of 27/5/24 - Solar Radiation and the Greenhouse Effect - Greenhouse effect simulation activity: investigating the warming effect of greenhouse gases
