Week of 2nd September. What we did during the summer break. La rentrée - the return to school in France. 
Week of 9th September. What subject do French pupils learn. What subjects to you like/dislike? What subjects do you find easy/difficult? How to express that in French. 
Week of 16th September. Mini lessons in French. Next week we will celebrate the European Day of Languages. I will post links to various activities on the classroom page. If learners know another language, please can they prepare tho teach the rest of the class simple greetings and counting up to 10 in that language next week.
Week of 23rd September: European Day of Languages celebrations. Learners will teach the rest of the class simple conversations in another foreign language they know well. 

Week of 7th October: Les pays francophone. An introduction to countries around the world where French is the official, or one of the official, languages. For next week, learners will choose a French speaking country and present some information about that country to the rest of the class.
Week of 14th October - not class, as I am travelling back to UK.
Week of 21st October. Learners will tell the rest of the class about the French speaking country they have researched.
Week of 28th October. Conversations in a boulangerie, a café and other shops in France. Which shop would you like to buy items in?

French Club will include some of the following each week: songs, games, quizzes, a story time, role-playing, Lotto (Bingo), Guess Who and more.
Some reading of signs and other information will be included, along with some simple writing activities. 
All students will be encouraged to ask questions as well as answering my questions and questions from classmates.
Please note that I will not be teaching grammar in a formal way in this class, though we may talk about things we want to do or have done, where the sentence starters will be treated as vocabulary. 
Also, when I am in France I will try to teach classes from nearby towns, so that the learners have an opportunity to ‘visit’ (virtually) a real French town. Sometimes I will ask to change the time or day on the class so we can look round a nearby local château etc. Please let me know if you want your child to skip these Walkabout classes and I will make the necessary arrangements.
