I know from experience the challenges girls face as they're growing into themselves in middle and high school. This is a crucial time in finding who they are and who they want to become. This is why this on going course is so important!! In this course, I will foster a safe environment for our girls to grow and blossom into amazing young ladies. I will include activities to boost their self esteem, confidence, and overall love for themselves. I will provide a community for young ladies to meet and socialize with positivity and happiness! Each week, I will post the necessary handouts/materials needed for the class. Below are some of the activities we will be completing in this class:

-In my control wellness circle
-Create self affirmations
-Mirror me

-Vision Board 
and More! 

This is an ongoing class meaning girls can join at any time. In order to build relationships, I would love for your child to come to all weekly meetings to build friendship and community with the other girls! If this class does not offer a time that works for you, please feel free to request a time! I will be using a variety of PowerPoints, videos, and crafts to teach topics below:

Week 1: Facing your fears
-In this class we will call out our fears and do an activity where we throw our fears away! 

Week 2 : Self Care 2.0
-In this class, we will discuss ways to care for ourselves and make face masks and/or scrubs! 

Week 3: What I wish people knew 
-In this class, we will discuss amazing characteristics we have that we wish others knew using the iceberg activity! We will also come up with ways to express these traits.  

Week 4:  Gratitude and Thank you
-In this class, we will discuss what it means to be grateful. We will compile a list of things we are grateful for and write a thank you card to someone we are grateful for.
