宿題：

週あたり 1-2 時間. Students will receive a semi-short homework assignment after each lesson they complete in this course. These assignments will be anywhere between 10-20 questions long. Homework is graded and checked on recordings with the teacher. It is helpful to have a brightly colored pen (I recommend red) for grading. If the student opts to receive feedback from me, they can send me photos of their work through the chat feature or on the discussion posting associated with the lesson. I give all homework assignments a completion grade. If students do the work, they will get the points. Homework is worth 20% of the overall grade.

Students will be quizzed and tested on materials from the first few lessons of each chapter. They will have one quiz and one test per chapter to complete. These are graded on the recordings. Students can use a red pen to grade these assignments with their teacher. If the student opts to receive feedback from me, they can send photos of their quizzes and tests to me via the chat feature or on the discussion posting. Quizzes and tests are graded based on correctness in this course. Quizzes are worth 30% of the overall grade. Tests are worth 50% of the overall grade.

In this course, students will learn a full trigonometry curriculum. After a short review of some geometry topics, we will cover trigonometry concepts such as trigonometric functions, radian measure versus degree measure, circular functions, graphing, trigonometric identities, inverse trigonometric functions, trigonometric equations, trigonometric laws, and complex numbers.

Students will have 79 recordings to watch in this course. In the recordings, students will learn a lesson, complete a homework assignment, and check the homework assignment. There will be two recordings per chapter lesson: one for teaching/learning the content and one for checking the homework. Students will also have a quiz, a review, and a test for each chapter. The final chapter will only include a review and a test. They will be able to check their quizzes and tests on the recordings. All assignments will be shown directly on the recordings. 

I like to make certain that my students understand what they are learning. I will periodically send them a message to check-in. If a student is struggling with a particular concept, they are always encouraged to send me a message, so I can explain the topic further. I have an arsenal of student-friendly YouTube videos that I utilize to help explain topics further as well. Students can interact with me through the chat feature and also within the discussion posts included in the course.

The recordings for the class are recorded Zoom meetings that have been uploaded to YouTube as kid-friendly content. During recordings, I utilize Zoom's screenshare feature to share Microsoft Whiteboard. On Whiteboard, I solve problems and help guide my students to understanding.

受講の前提条件

Before enrolling, learners should have completed Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Without these courses, learners could find gaps in their learning of Trigonometry.

I do use a textbook for this course. It is recommended to purchase as it could make things easier, but it is not required to do so. I purchased mine used, and it came in great condition. In the first discussion post for this course, you can find a guided notes page. This is not a requirement to complete; however, it is highly recommended to print it out. It helps students have organized notes, complete notes, and also helps students to pay close attention during class recordings. Completing the guided notes can also be very beneficial for chapter quizzes and tests. If the student does not have the textbook, the guided notes are essential to the student's success.
