Students taking this class will be working towards the French 1 or French 2 accreditation in their school. I will advise if they are working at, above or below the required level and suggest what they can do to reach the level they are aiming for.評価
I will give a pass or requires improvement comment for each piece of work. However, the students will be graded by their own school teachers. This class will be a revision of French grammar for learners who are in High School in USA. This is revision Bootcamp will fill in gaps in understanding how French grammar works. I will include some fun sentences and exercises in class. I will introduce the terminology, give the learners sample spoken sentences, followed by written practice, such as fill in the gap exercises and also longer written work. I will also supply some reading materials for classes. I will be running a Spoken French Bootcamp classes which can be taken alongside the French Grammar Bootcamp. I will also be offering further Bootcamps: Part 2. Verbs in the Present Tense. Part 3. Verbs in the Past Tense. Part 4. Verbs in the future tense and the Reflexive Verbs. Week 1. w.c. 18th March. Day 1. Monday. Why are all nouns Masculine or Feminine? How do I learn which is which? Do I have to learn about this? Nouns with an obvious gender. Day 2. Tuesday. When to use le/la/les, un/une/des. Also de la/du/des and à la/au/aux. Day 3. Wednesday. Groups of nouns that are usually one gender...and the exceptions. How do we know? Best ways to learn the genders. Correcting a written passage. Week 2. w.c. 25th March. Day 1. Monday. Adjectives. What are they? How do they agree with the noun they describe? Practise using simple adjectives. Day 2. Tuesday.Using more interesting adjectives. Reading passage. Fill in the blank exercise. Day 3. Wednesday. Position of adjectives. Avoiding adjective overload. Written exercise adding and pruning adjectives. Review of the topics covered.

I have a B.A. Joint Honours degree in French and English form Leeds University. I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education for teaching French at secondary level (11-18 years old).
I have taught French to students aged 4-18, including exam classes (British GCSE and A level). I have recent experience of teaching French 1 and French 2 for a US online school via Outschool. I assessed the students for French 1 and French 2 accreditation.
