This introductory class will go over five of the main body systems (the skeletal system, the circulatory system, the respiratory system, the nervous system, and the digestive system). A life-size anatomical figure (Mr. Bob) will be used in many of the classes as an extra visual guide for the learners. Each week, learners will complete a quiz at the end of each lesson to ensure every child is on track with the material. The following materials will be needed: - red and blue yarn - a variety of dry pasta - 2 straws - 3 Ziploc/sandwich bags - playdough or plasticine (preferably different colors) - pantyhose (that can be cut) - one cookie (like Arrowroot) - a banana or slice of bread - bowl - water - orange juice - funnel (optional) - yogurt (optional)
