Theme/Mechanism

The assignment this week will be to decide on our theme, decide on spinner, dice or card movement and talk about complexity that we can add to the game to avoid runaway leaders. You will have the week to start working on the design of your board. You will need markers, paper, cereal boxes you can open up to glue your path onto and a glue stick.

🎲Instructor: Ms. Yvonne, BMus. McGill University. Hi! I'm a Metis artist, musician and micro-farmer. My experiences range from 10 years with IBM as a field tech to professional musician. I am a songwriter and a homeschooling mum of two kids and my current obsession is board game design. I've taken some courses through Vancouver Film School and really love what I've learned. I believe that child-led project based learning is the key to engagement. As an ND learner myself and a parent of an ND child, I believe connection and relationship are the first step in education. PBL or Project Based Learning allows us to incorporate all sorts of learning in one fun bundle of exploration.
