This course will explore a variety of topics that are related to small animal veterinary science. (Cats, dogs, etc) See the syllabus for the specific topics. In class PowerPoints and discussions will be supplemented with some in class and outside of class projects and videos. Learners should have either taken my Introduction to Veterinary Medicine class or have some basic knowledge of veterinary science. Miss Denise’s Teaching Style: My teaching style is caring and relaxed. I am passionate about sharing veterinary science with learners of all abilities from all over the world! I am happy to provide additional support if needed. I am excited to help learners reach their goal to work with animals or to become a veterinary assistant, technician, or veterinarian! My mission is to share my experience and love for animals and veterinary medicine with others! I am excited to help your learner reach their goals! Please message me if you have any questions. Safety and Restraint
Students will learn how veterinary professionals keep themselves and their patients safe including Fear Free handling, , and “kitty burritos” will be practiced using a stuffed animal and a towel. 50 分のオンラインライブレッスン

Recognizing Emergency Situations/ Pet First Aid Kits
Students will learn about some emergency situations that pets sometimes find themselves in. Lesson topics will include the importance personal safety if there is a pet emergency. I have been a certified veterinary technician for more than 30 years, have a MEd from Colorado State University and I have a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine.
I have been teaching at local community colleges in veterinary Assistant Programs and a variety of Veterinary Science programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school. I also teach at a private university in an equine studies program.
I am also a homeschool mom! At home, my family has 3 mini horses, 4 Nigerian dwarf goats, 9 chickens and 2 cats!
I am absolutely passionate about sharing my experience and love for animals and veterinary medicine with others and look forward to helping your learner explore the possibilities in veterinary science! レビュー
