In this class we will take a look at some of the possibilities available for those who are interested in veterinary careers. We will discuss a variety of professions within veterinary medicine, and some of the specialties that have emerged. Week 1- Veterinary team member roles. We will discuss the Veterinary technology and veterinary assistant career paths and how they are each vital parts of the practice team....
I have been a certified veterinarytechnician for more than 30 years, have a MEd from Colorado State University and I am now finishing up my second Master’s program and will have a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine by spring 2024. I have been teaching at local community colleges in veterinary Assistant Programs and a variety of Veterinary Science programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school. I also teach at a private university in an equine studies program. I am also a homeschool mom! At home, my family has 3 mini horses, 4 Nigerian dwarf goats, 9 chickens and 2 cats! I am absolutely passionate about sharing my experience and love for animals and veterinary medicine with others and would love to help your children explore this amazing field with a variety of possible careers so I can be a part of the future of more veterinary professionals!
