Students will learn the following guitar concepts:
-Basics of strumming chords/using a guitar pick
-Note reading on the first two strings
-Basic tablature reading
-Beginning finger style guitar

The goal of this class is for students to have a basic, but wide range, of knowledge of guitar that will be beneficial to them as they continue with the instrument. Additionally, students will gain confidence on the guitar through a performance opportunity.

Students are expected to practice approximately 30 minutes each day throughout the duration of the class in order to have the most enriching experience. The instructor will provide a guideline at the end of class on what to focus on for practice each week.

Students will perform a song of choice (chosen from course content) on the last day of class.  The instructor will provide positive feedback and constructive suggestions on what the student can work on. Feedback will be sent home for students and families to review.
