自分らしく、より良いライターになろう: 手順書 (ハウツー) ライティング、自分のペースで

***THIS IS A SELF-PACED CLASS- We will not meet live; however, assignments will be reviewed for teacher feedback on Sunday evenings each week for up to 4 weeks.*** 

In this 4-lesson class, learners will go through each step of the writing process for writing a how-to paper catering to their interests (Be You!). 

Each lesson will include a video explaining the lesson that will be completed in Nearpod. In the lesson there will be videos and mini-assignments the learner will complete that will help support the part of the paper they are working on. Learners will complete their assignment with each lesson on a private Google Slide link or submit their handwritten work to receive video feedback each Sunday evening.

📋Lesson 1: Prewriting 
Learners will brainstorm topics for their papers. They will complete assignments on sequencing and transition words. Learners will complete an outline for their papers.

📝 Lesson 2: Drafting 
Learners will learn about adding details and how to create engaging introductions and conclusions. Learners will write rough drafts for their papers. 

🛠️Lesson 3: Revising & Editing 
Learners will learn how to properly revise and edit practice passages. They will revise and edit their own draft. 

🎥Lesson 4: Publication & Presentation 
Learners will create a video presentation in which they will demonstrate their how-to topics.  
🎖️Each learner will receive a certificate of completion upon completing the final draft and video presentation. 

"Be You and Become a Better Writer" classes are designed to help learners improve their writing and express their individuality with the support and guidance of a K-12 certified English teacher.
