Mastery Evaluation

1 hour per week. Everyday we learn few new ideas, kids must apply those ideas while they play chess with their siblings, friends or parents.

Certificate of Completion

Upon completing our Advanced Level 1 course, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion, acknowledging their expertise in sophisticated chess strategies, including complex openings, nuanced defenses, and advanced endgame techniques. This certificate recognizes their dedication to mastering the art of chess.

Advanced Level

Our 10-week chess course delves into openings, defenses, and traps, focusing on tactical surprises in Italian, Petrov's, and Scotch openings, defensive strategies in Caro-Kann, Alkhine's, French, and Sicilian defenses, and Scandinavian and mixed defenses. Through weekly lessons, expert lectures, guided games, and interactive discussions, learners will engage directly with me, receiving personalized feedback and support via live lectures, online games, and Q&A sessions.

Learning Goals

Learners will analyze and execute tactical surprises in Italian, Petrov's, and Scotch openings, improving their ability to launch successful attacks.

Learners will develop a deep understanding of defensive strategies in Caro-Kann, Alkhine's, French, and Sicilian defenses, enhancing their ability to counterattack and equalize.

Learning Needs

Our chess class is intentionally designed to support unique learning needs, such as ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD, by incorporating visual, tactile, and kinesthetic learning approaches, flexible pacing, and one-on-one attention.

Parental Guidance

To maintain privacy, we utilize the anonymous gameplay feature on Lichess for all chess play activities.

Pre-Requisites

Intermediate Levels 1-3, proficiency in complex maneuvers (e.g., tactical motifs, combinational play), and understanding of fundamental endgame principles and strategic frameworks.

Supply List

For a seamless and secure learning experience, we will utilize LICHESS.ORG for interactive gameplay. To ensure learner anonymity and safety, we will provide anonymous access links, eliminating the need for account creation.
