In this class we are going to work on the letters "n, p, q, r, s, t, v, x, y, z"; students will work to identify the letters and sounds. Students will have opportunity to play games, write on paper/whiteboard, write on the Shared Whiteboard, and interact with teacher and classmates. I will introduce the sounds of the letters and then give students opportunities to say, write, and identify the sounds. I will ask students questions and have the students also ask each other questions. Students will benefit from a prior knowledge of the names of the letters and some sounds.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
I look forward to meeting your child and having lots of fun learning together!
