These ongoing one on one lessons are fun and engaging, and will be designed to suit each learner's individual needs. Each tutoring session will be created by Ms. Colleen based on the unique needs, interests, and skill level of each learner. For this reason, a breakdown of each lesson cannot be described here. Topics such as Greetings, Colours, Numbers, and Letters will be covered for beginners, and more advanced language concepts such as grammar, spelling, verbs, and punctuation can be covered for more advanced language learners. Ms. Colleen is a bilingual (French and English) teacher and certified EFL instructor who has been sharing fun language lessons with children for many years. Her patient and calm teaching style helps children who are new to foreign language learning feel confident and at ease.

Hi, I'm Ms. Colleen.
I'm an Early Childhood Educator and home educating parent. I have my degree in Child Study from Mount Saint Vincent University and I have been teaching for 28 years. I am also a certified EFL (English as a Foreign Language) instructor. I speak both English and French. In 2020 I discovered my love of teaching online. I guess every cloud really does have a silver lining! My family and I live in beautiful Atlantic Canada. I'm excited to share fun and interactive learning activities with your children! Teaching is truly my passion and that shines through in my lessons. My teaching style is calm, patient, and warm. I believe that childhood is a journey, not a race. I love to learn new things and I try to instill a love of learning through my lessons. I love to laugh. I like to incorporate singing into my lessons because I believe it helps learners relax and absorb information, especially when learning a new language.
