During this series of fun and interactive lessons, children will learn the French language through songs, slides,  games and conversations. Ms. Colleen is a bilingual (French and English) teacher who has been sharing fun language lessons with children for many years. Her patient and calm teaching style helps children who are new to foreign language learning feel confident and at ease. No prior experience with French is necessary. Each week learners will practice reading and speaking French. We will go slowly and make sure each concept is grasped by the learners. The small class size of each session ensures individual attention for each learner. Printed materials and/or online games will be provided each week to help reinforce what is learned in class. This is not a French Immersion class. Instruction is given in English , but learners are encouraged to speak French as much as they can.

Lesson One
Greetings 
We will learn how to introduce ourselves in French. We will learn our Bonjour song. 
Lesson Two
Numbers 1-10
We will learn the numbers 1-10 in French. We will play counting games and learn a number song.
Lesson Three
How old are you? and Letter sounds.
We will learn how to ask and tell how old we are. 
Lesson 4
Ordinal Numbers
We will learn how to use ordinal numbers by playing games and doing a fun colouring sheet.
Lesson 5
Sizes
The three bears will help us learn the words for small, medium and large in French.
Lesson 6
Parts of the Body
We will sing, "Tete, Epaules, Genoux et Peids" to introduce the parts of the body in French. We will then play a matching game in order to match each word to the corresponding photo. 
Lesson 7
Quel temps fait-il?
During this lesson we will learn all about weather.
Lesson 8
Qui est dans ta famille?
The children will learn how to tell and ask others about their family. We will learn the words for each family member. Feminine and masculine pronouns will be discussed briefly.
Lesson 9
Animals
We will play games help us learn and remember the names of animals in French. We will learn to say, I am (Je suis) and I have (J'ai).
Lesson 10
Comment te sens-tu?
We will learn to ask and tell others about emotions. We will learn words in French for the various emotions we feel.
Lesson 11
We will review what we have learned.
