Bonjour! Do you love being Fancy like Nancy? If so, then you of course have to learn to speak some French! Join us in this 5 class course, which will be modeled after 5 Fancy Nancy books, which I am sure your Nancy lover has read. Each class, we will learn a particular group of words and phrases in French about a certain topic/scenario Nancy has really been in herself! Week 1Lesson 1'Fancy Nancy and the Late, Late, Late, LATE Night'In this class students will be a fancy movie star like Nancy was in the book-and we all know movie stars do not go to bed early! This class will focus on times of the day in French, emotions in French, and costume words for being a movie star inWeek 2Lesson 2'Fancy Nancy and the Sensational Babysitter'In this class, we will learn verbs and things we like and do not like to do. In this book, Nancy planned many things to do with her new babysitter. Let's learn some fancy things we like to do and some we do not like to do in French.Week 3Lesson 3'Tea for Two'In this class, students will have a tea party! We will learn place settings in French. In this book, Nancy and her friend have an argument. We will also learn adjectives in French of a nice friend.Week 4Lesson 4'Fancy Nancy: Puppy Party'In this book, Nancy had a birthday party for her beloved dog, Frenchie! During this class we will learn all the vocabulary in French about birthday parties-from the decorations to the cake to the presents.Week 5Lesson 5'Fancy Nancy: Budding Ballerina'Of course Nancy is a ballerina, they are beautiful and fancy! In this final class, we will learn dance terms that are used in class that are of course French

Bonjour! I am Madame Heather and I am a licensed French teacher for ages preK-12. I have 15 years teaching experience in the classroom and over 5 years teaching experience online. I have a BA in French, an MA in Sociolinguitics, and I have lived in the south of France where I taught ESL. I am an engaging teacher who focuses first on making the student feel comfortable learning a new language in a natural way. I believe learning a language should be fun and I also like to use manipulatives to keep students moving during class. I look forward to helping your student expand their interest in francophone culture and language.
