I will teach the foundations of pitch (high and low) using vocal exploration. Also exploring different tempos (slow and fast) through movement. The class will begin with a Penguin action song which adds a new movement with each verse. This song is called 'Have you ever had a Penguin come to tea'? We will then make some Penguin soup and keep a steady beat chopping ingredients with their pretend chopping board, children giving ideas what they would like to add. We will then trace the pitch on the screen following the direction of the snowball that 'Pablo Penguin' throws and change our voices accordingly. We will then explore different movements a Penguin can make and then have free time to move to a classical piece of music called 'March of the Penguins'.
