This is part 2 of 2 (each part consists of 15 lessons). Previous IEW experience is not necessary. From the Anglo-Saxons to the Renaissance, from chivalrous knights to Genghis Khan, students will improve their knowledge of medieval times while learning to write with structure and style. An optional literature component studies eight novels that integrate with the historical topics used for writing assignments (these are optional and will not be required coursework). Moving through Units 1–9 of the IEW methods, students will take notes, summarize narrative stories, write from pictures, put together a mini research report, and compose creative essays.
