Tarea
2-4 horas por semana. Assignments, which will consist of 1-3 paragraphs, will be posted each week in the Google Classroom and are due one week after they are assigned (unless otherwise noted). Checklists will be provided to remain on task and reach the hightest score possible. Resubmissions are allowed should corrections need to be made. Source texts, note posters, and other items to help remember concepts will be provided. In some cases students will need to research and bring their own sources to class to complete assignments. Several assignments will be linked to the reading of the literature, therefore the literature reading is a required portion of this course and required for success of the course.
Evaluación
Checklists will be provided to remain on task and reach the hightest score possible. Resubmissions are allowed should corrections need to be made.

This is an continuation two semester course (if you did not take part 2, it is highly recommended that you have prior IEW experience though unit 5)

Each week we will talk about the historical topic that goes with our lesson.  The IEW techniques and assignment will also be introduced, explained, demonstrated, etc..  Assignments, which will consist of 1-3 paragraphs, will be posted each week in the Google Classroom and are due one week after they are assigned (unless otherwise noted).  We will complete kahoot quizzes at the complete of each literature assignment, as well as discuss the book each week. 

Each week new dress-ups, sentence openers, decorations, advanced additions, etc., will be introduced to help enhance your child's writing.  Checklists will be provided to remain on task and reach the hightest score possible. Resubmissions are allowed should corrections need to be made.

Week 1 - Lesson 16 - Unit 6 - Ancient America
Week 2 - Lesson 17 - Unit 6 - Ancient India
Week 3 - Lesson 18 - Unit 6 - Persians part 1
Week 4 - Lesson 19 - Unit 6 - Persians part 2
Week 5 - Lesson 20 - Unit 7 - Choose a hero from a story and describe what makes them heroic. Compare this person with someone you know today who is also heroic.
Week 6 - Lesson 21 - Unit 7 - There were many traditions in Ancient Greece, talk about a tradition you have in your family.
Week 7 - Lesson 22 - Unit 7 - Pandora’s Box warns of the dangers of letting your curiosity take hold of you and get you into dangerous situations.  Tell about a time when curiosity got the best of you. 
Literature - The Children's Homer 
Week 8 - Lesson 23 - Unit 7 - What Moral Lessons Do We Learn From the Greek Myths and Ancient Stories? (2 paragraphs)
Week 9 - Lesson 24 - Unit 7 - Introduction and Conclusion
Week 10 - Lesson 25 - Unit 8 - Introduction and Conlusion for Lessons 18 & 19
Week 11 - Lesson 26 - Unit 8  - Research a prominent person from Ancient History
Week 12 - Lesson 27 - Unit 8 - continued
Week 13 - Lesson 28 - Unit 9 - Literary Critique of a Greek Myth of your choice
Week 14 - Lesson 29 - Unit 9 - Character Analysis
Week 15 - Last week (Bonus Assignment, Introduction and Conclusion)
