Does your learner need support for executive functioning? Could they use some help with organization of assignments and schedule?

I am here to help! I have almost ten years of experience working as a special education teacher in many different age levels and teaching capacities. I have taught ESL online for almost three years. I am also a homeschool mom to three children with their own very unique learning styles! I love to create engaging and interesting lessons for students. By building up on their strengths and using what makes them happy as motivation, we can help them succeed together! I can help with organization, social skills, executive functioning, creating visuals and graphic organizers, and more. 

This is not a subject-specific tutoring class, but one for students who need overall support with establishing routines and using problem solving strategies to stay organized. I can provide specific supports like graphic organizers for a math topic that is challenging, however the overall focus of this course will be to improve executive functioning, which supports academic and extra-curricular success. 

Before class, I will provide parents with a form to fill out, or the opportunity to indicate their learner’s needs via message. Alternatively, a brief informal assessment will be given at the start of the session to determine strengths and areas to build on. 

I will tailor and individualize a lesson plan for each meeting to review weekly assignments and recognize your learner’s hard work. We can meet once or on an ongoing basis to build upon previous meetings!

If there are rewards or motivators that you would like me to use I will do my best to work it into the lesson plans.
