While the teacher will be commenting on posts and providing feedback to learners, this class is not designed to be graded. The focus is on providing learners with the opportunity to practice reading and express themselves through horse-themed activities, rather than on formal assessment. If you want to test your child's reading comprehension each week there is an optional google forms quiz over the stories posted for the week. It is multiple choice, and the score is given automatically after the quiz is taken.

There will be a total of 8 short stories over the course of the 4-week class, and you'll have the flexibility to complete them at your own pace. As you read, feel free to share your thoughts and reactions in the comments section or even post your own horse-themed drawings, writings, or pictures. This is a great opportunity to practice reading and get creative, all while learning about these majestic creatures. Let's dive into the world of horses and have some fun!

Stories and Projects:
These are not books you have to go out and purchase but short, fun stories I created for the class. I am the author of each of the stories. Each story will have a picture to go along with it. There will be two stories a week, and each week contains an optional reading comprehension quiz in Google Forms and an activity. There are two creative writing activities, and the other two weeks have art challenges.

Each week there is a Google Forms quiz that goes along with the stories. Answers are given immediately after the quiz for learners to see their scores. These quizzes are good if you want to test your learner's reading comprehension.

Projects:
Projects are student lead. Students get to decide what supplies they use for each project and what they want to draw or create.
This class is perfect for anyone who loves horses and enjoys reading fictional stories. It is open to learners of all reading levels. However, the stories are written for a second/third-grade reading level. Students can feel free to post comments, photos, or drawings on each story to add their own creative twist.
