We’ll first discuss what makes a story good: the characters, the plot, or the ending (or everything). Then we'll read the first few sentences from a short story I wrote (Lisa’s Birthday Party), and discuss how the story might end. Most of the class will be discussion. I'll write up the finished story that we talk about in class and send it to the students after class.
