Students will celebrate Read Across America by dressing as their favorite character and sharing their favorite book. This will be a student-focused class, and I will facilitate discussion among the student. Book discussions increase excitement about reading and encourage exploration of other books. It also increases communication skills and demonstrates reading comprehension. Students' costumes can be as simple or as elaborate as they desire and if a student doesn't want to dress up that is fine too. Also, students do not need a copy of their favorite book to share with us. I am eager to share my costume and book with the students and I am super excited to see their costumes and their favorite books.

Students will have fun and share their excitement about reading.
