We will use the program 'scratch' to create an animated character party with sounds. No experience of scratch necessary. The lesson is taught step-by-step (I will demonstrate each step to the class before they work on it) and we progress together. Themes available- Roblox, Pokemon dinosaur and LOL dolls! Students will be taught: How to create a scratch project How to add sprites How to animate sprites How to add music It will be a very interactive session- I will work with you to build your party and we will share our screens with others too. Scratch is web based coding software. You can access it here... https://scratch.mit.edu/ You should have a free account with scratch ready for class. I suggest that you log in and open scratch prior to class to ensure there are no problems. You should have a device to log into the outschool class and another to use for Scratch. Screen sharing will be necessary to ensure students are all accessing the instructions well and progressing together.
