Learner progress will be assessed by the teacher daily during each lesson as she sees that students are becoming comfortable, independent and fluent in their reading. Comprehension will be monitored regularly through questions and answers as well as activities on the slides that require students to demonstrate understanding. Writing will improve as students keep a regular journal that will show their progression over time. Parents can also assess their own child's progress as they become more independent during their participation in class, their own independent reading, as well as how they are using learned information and reading techniques outside of class.Experiencia de clase

▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐Course Overview⭐ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ This course focuses on developing Arabic language proficiency at the "Effective Readers" level through the Reading A-Z program. Students will read a new story each week from Levels K-P and engage in various activities to improve their reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary. Topics covered will include family, home, school, park, zoo, friends, pets, and more. Throughout the course, students will interact with their peers and the instructor through various activities such as discussions, writing exercises, and completing activities on slides. The instructor will use engaging teaching methods to make the learning experience enjoyable and relevant to students' daily lives. Overall, this course is designed to help students develop their Arabic language skills, improve their reading comprehension and writing, and make connections between what they read and their daily lives. Students are welcome to join and leave at any time, as there is no previous information needed in order to succeed in the current week’s lesson. If you’d like to know exactly what week we are in (and that week’s topic), please send us a message to inquire. 📅 Are you looking for a class that meets 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x per week? Send us a message about a class frequency change. 💬 We can also accommodate learners and families wanting full immersion vs. bilingual classes. Send us a message to learn more! ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 📚Literature Read📚 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ In this cla ss, we will read the following stories: "I'd Like to Be", "Friends Around the World", "I Love City Parks", and "Brainstorm Bear". ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 💬Language of Instruction💬▬▬▬▬▬▬ This is an immersion class, which means lessons will be taught primarily in Arabic. However, teachers will use English as necessary to guide students. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 👨🎓Target Student👨🎓 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Students should have a basic understanding of Arabic letters, forms, vowels, and sentence structure. The course will be taught in both English and Modern Standard Arabic, and is designed for non-native Arabic speakers. The Reading A-Z program expects effective readers to recognize more and more words automatically by sight, attend to phonics, word chunks, and affixes when decoding unfamiliar words, and transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn." Effective readers also tend to focus less on decoding and more on comprehension. The text to support effective readers may include longer sentences, more complex syntax, richer vocabulary, fewer pictures, and more formal and descriptive language.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will begin reading, develop fluency, gain comprehension and practice beginning writing skills in the Arabic language.

Mrs. Thaljeya - Hello everyone my name is Thaljeya Hamdan. I am from a city in Palestine called ‘Ramallah’. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children. I immigrated with my family to the United States when I was 11 years old. I studied in Chicago and I have moved back and forth ever since. I have worked half of my life with kids as a babysitter and I have tutored both English and Arabic.
Mrs. Sondos - Ahlan wa Sahlan! My name is Mrs. Sondos and I teach Arabic! I am half Egyptian and half Syrian and I can understand almost every Arabic dialect out there. I’m a tutor and part time teacher. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2021 and I have been tutoring and teaching since 2019. I have always believed that everyone, regardless of age, deserves a fair chance at learning any subject out there. I’ve seen students struggle and I’ve seen them succeed and have realized that the most important key to success is building a strong foundation in the subject they’re trying to learn. I want to be the one to help others build and maintain that strong foundation that they’ll take with them wherever they go! I have experience teaching kids as young as 4 years old how to read, write and speak Arabic at the basic levels and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. I love the Arabic language and I can’t wait to help your child explore its beauty with me!
Bassant
My name is Bassant, and I hold a master’s degree in education with over 12 years of experience in the education field. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to fostering a love of learning in my students and equipping them with the skills they need to succeed. My teaching philosophy is deeply influenced by my Montessori certification, which emphasizes student-centered learning, and I also hold a certificate in learning difficulties, allowing me to effectively support students with diverse learning needs.
My journey in teaching has been enriched by my proficiency in multiple languages, specifically English and Arabic. With a strong academic background and extensive practical experience, I have developed a comprehensive skill set that enables me to create engaging and effective language programs.
As a native Arabic speaker with professional proficiency, I have experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. I employ cultural immersion techniques to enhance language learning, providing students with a rich and authentic experience.
Mrs. Dana - Hello my name is Mrs. Dana and I’m so Excited to be your Arabic language teacher. We are going to have lots of Fun and we will learn a lot! I live in California, I’m originally Lebanese. I have worked part time as an Arabic translator and culture advisor for Disneyland and Expo Dubai 2020. I would love to introduce and teach our wonderful rich language to my kids. I am looking forward to meeting you , and learn about you. See you soon! Love Mrs. Dana
Mrs. Haywood - I have completed 15 post secondary credits in the Arabic language at North Central University and The University of Minnesota. I have been teaching basic Arabic reading and writing skills for 10 years . I taught Arabic to children in grades Pre-K through grade 2 at a charter school for four years as well as a private school that I founded for seven years. This is my second year year teaching Arabic on Outschool. I regularly meet with Arabic tutors to increase my skills and knowledge in this subject as well as to gain experience with various spoken dialects. I currently speak and teach Modern Standard Arabic.
