It is recommended that learners have taken Ann Ale Haitian Creole Level 1-7 prior to enrolling in this course. This is a fun and interactive online course that encourages active student participation. Students will learn through reading prompts, listening exercises and online learning games. During our first session, students will be given a set of rules and expectations.

Throughout the course we will be making use of YouTube, Nearpod, and Canva. An account is not required for any of these websites. I will be making use of the share screen feature on Zoom to share my presentations, videos and games. When a game is played in class students will use a link provided in the Chat feature on Zoom and will only input their name/nickname.

I started learning Haitian Creole in 2013 and I use the language daily in my full time volunteer teaching assignment here in Maryland where there is a large Haitian Creole speaking population. I teach people how to read and write in Haitian Creole. I translate written documents from Haitian Creole to English and I lived in Haiti for one month in 2018. I also currently interpret for Haitian Creole patients during their medical appointments.Reseñas
