2-4 horas por semana. Students will have supplemental, optional homework assignments such as coloring assignments. These are designed to increase knowledge retention and should take no more than 20 minutes. Students who opt to complete these assignments will end the course with comprehensive notes to utilize in future educational settings.Evaluación

This course is designed for students that have an interest in health science such as medicine, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, prosthetics and orthotics, exercise science, and physical rehabilitation. Students will engage in interactive lessons and lab activities that provide a strong foundational knowledge of the musculoskeletal system, biomechanics, and kinesiology. Using movement labs, games, and interactive coloring students will gain a deeper understanding of movement. Previous experience in anatomy and physiology or biology is highly recommended for this course. Students who do not possess prior knowledge in these subject may need extra assistance to retain and understand these topics. I am more than willing to work with students who may need extra assistance if they are interested in the topic. I will be available to schedule live 1:1 office hours within our flex course for students who need additional support. These office hours will be scheduled on a case by case basis. There will be several craft demonstrations that use tactile and creativity-based learning to maximize information retention. We will also conduct several human body scavenger hunts and activities for a diverse learning approach. Each week, lecture videos will be posted as well as a variety of supplemental learning activities. Fill-in notes will be provided prior to each lecture, so that learners may follow along and retain comprehensive notes for future studies. Each week students will also be encouraged to find and share and anatomy-based fun fact with the group. At the end of the class, these facts will be combined into one presentation for students to discuss and retain in their notes. Students will participate in a variety of games and challenges throughout this class: Students will participate in open-ended "Trivia" questions sporadically throughout the course in which students will build on each others' answers. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in our Physiology and Physics challenge at the end of the course. There will be an optional knowledge check that students may submit for instructor feedback. Coloring activities, movement labs, and craft projects will also be posted weekly.
