In this class, learners will be given guided practice problems to practice skills and concepts with rational numbers typically taught in seventh grade. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Learners can also bring homework or assignments from school or other classes that involve rational numbers to work on together. 

Concepts and skills can include any of the following:
•Sequencing and Comparing Rational Numbers
•Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division with Positive and Negative Fractions and Mixed Numbers
•Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division with Positive and Negative Decimals 
•Word Problems with Rational Numbers

Learners should be proficient with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and integers before attending this class.

I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and have recently developed skills as an online educator due to school closures.
