Description

Class Experience

The class will introduce younger learners to French reviewing common vocabulary including : colors, numbers, emotions, parts of the body, food, clothing.  

I have taught online for four years and over 2500 classes to young children in English and French from ages 4-15 years of age.  My approach is to make the classes fun, interactive and spark your child's interest in the French language.     

The goal for this class will be:
- to introduce younger students to language of French while...

Students will learn new French words and identify basics for colors, numbers, alphabet and emotions.

Depending to the number of enrolled student and parent preferences, during this 30 minute class the lesson will be customized for the student to learn about colors in French.  They will learn to sing the ABC song in French and/or identify letters in words.   

Students will learn how to express basic emotions like:  [I am happy, I am tired, I am sad, I am angry].   They will also learn essential verbs such as [aimer /to like] and [manger/to eat].   Students will also learn to describe different parts of their body [head, nose, mouth, ears, arms, legs, feet, toes].  

Students will learn to identify colors [red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple etc,] while also identifying what they are wearing in class and the color.  Students will be encouraged to wear bright colors and have their favorite toys nearby to share in class and reinforce their learning.

There is no homework for this one time class.

Learners should have some of their favorite toys nearby so we can interact with them in class. This may include colors or learning new words based on learner interest.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

There is no assessment for this one time class.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
