Vocabulary Exploration and Introduction to the Story: We'll explore key vocabulary words from the story and encourage students to use them in sentences. 2. Storytime: I will read the story. 3. Expression: Discuss how to read with expression 4. Sequencing Activity and Comprehension: Students will participate in an activity to sequence and understand the order of events in the story. 5. Discussion: We'll wrap up with a discussion about the story. I'll incorporate elements of storytelling, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities to engage learners and enhance their understanding of the story. Learners will need to be able to read the story or have the story read to them. It is designed for learners who are eager to engage with stories and express their creativity. In terms of my qualifications, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood and a Reading Endorsement. My passion lies in teaching foundational skills, particularly in reading. I firmly believe that every student has the potential to learn, but it's important to recognize and accommodate their individual learning needs and pace. In my classes, I provide multiple approaches to learning a concept, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to grasp it in a way that resonates with them.
Beyond my teaching experience, I have a diverse background in agriculture and farming. My husband and I are actively involved in raising quarter horses for working cow horse competitions. I find joy in merging my love for agriculture with my teaching endeavors, incorporating elements of farm life and nature into my lessons. It's a unique way to engage students and broaden their understanding of the world around them.
