What's included

16 live meetings
32 in-class hours
Projects
1 hour per week. Students will be assigned projects to do outside of class time IF they failed to complete it during, or want to expand on their ideas more outside of class. At any time, students can request projects to work on and I will help challenge them with ideas to help them learn more outside of class. Students who work outside of class due to passion for this topic, will do great in this course.
Letter Grade
I will have a midterm after 4 weeks, and a final grade at the end of the course, this will be an overall project review, NOT A TEST. I will send parents their grades after their midterm and final.

Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11
Beginner Level
Students will learn how to organize their ideas into google documents, sheets, etc. They will learn critical writing skills alongside tools to help them if they are struggling with an idea. Students will learn the main concepts of character, world, and story building. I will cover the topics of fantasy writing, organization and it's importance, time management, and critical thinking. My class is structured into layers, one week we will be learning advance organizational skills, the next will be a break week where students can spend time writing and creating, the next week I will ask questions and challenge them to make their worlds better, and so on. My teaching style is to challenge, not to critique, but to question and help students think on the spot on how to make something better. Learners will be fully interacting with me via lectures and quizzes. My class is made to reduce the amount of homework assigned to my students so that they can complete their projects during class time.

Other Details

Learning Needs
This is designed to support unique learning needs. I grew up with a brother on the spectrum and another with hyper ADHD, I have learned many ways to help gather attention and keep them on track.
Parental Guidance
This course will be a fantasy worldbuilding course that will include the topics of creating cultures and death. I will only be using PG 13 content for this course, and topics mentioned in this course will match that. But death, drugs, and other culturally significant topics will be mentioned if the students dive deep into their worldbuilding.
Pre-Requisites
Students should also have Critical Thinking skills and good imaginations as this course is all about bringing those imaginations to life.
Supply List
Students will need access to a computer. A mobile device can work, but it will put them at a disadvantage in my course as it will be harder for me to help them.

English (Level: A2)
