This class will follow a similar format to the first class, it will cover 4 different animals, each from different regions around the world and their adaptations.* Students will learn about clouded leopards, macaws, gibbons, and Komodo dragons. After learning about each animal, there will be a discussion on what students can do to help with a specific "call to action" for each region. Students will be encouraged to ask questions throughout the class and they will be given prompts to encourage participation. Students do not need to have taken the first class to participate in this class, we will simply be covering new animals in this edition! *There will not be live animals in these classes, but there will be plenty of photos and videos!

Teacher expertise and credentials
1) I teach classes about all of the crazy wild animals that we share this planet with and what we can do help them in their native habitats. Earth is full of animals that many people have never seen or heard of before, my classes will cover different regions of the world and the inhabitants that call those regions home. I will ask my students questions such as: what does a binturong smell like? What is a binturong? How many toes does a two toed sloth have on its back feet (hint: it's not 2!)? How high can an African serval jump? My topics will cover information that even the BBC has missed!
2) Why trust me and my animal knowledge? I have a background in primatological field work and I have spent the last 10 years working with wild animals and in conservation efforts to save the species I love.
3) I believe the most engaging and thrilling learning experiences aren't through long lectures but through dynamic and engaging discussions about the topics. Students learn more when they are asking the questions and leading the conversations. This keeps them engaged and they will be more likely to want to do something with their new found knowledge.
4) I get to train wild animals every day; I've trained tigers to show me their teeth, otters to weave in and out of my legs, and sloths to paint!
