This class will teach students what latitude and longitude are and how to find coordinates of latitude and longitude on a map! Students will begin by reviewing cardinal directions since this is a necessary understanding before studying longitude and latitude. Following that, students will learn to find coordinates of latitude and longitude on a map. Students will also be exposed to how latitude is tied to the weather! A pencil and paper (or the PDF slide show printout) will be necessary. Ideally, the slide show would be printed for learners, but they can follow along digitally if that is not possible.
