Description
Class Experience
Students will learn steps that are needed to become a chef and then how to successfully be a chef and run a kitchen. They will receive expert advice and proper knowledge in food costs, labor costs, menu abstract, recipe development, safety, careers, managerial skills and schools.
The class will offer an option for the child or young adult to work on their kitchen skills for future culinary careers. I have years of experience in restaurants and teaching that will help the student learn how a chef creates a menu and flavorful recipes. I personally started cooking when I was 8 years old, went to cooking classes at 12, and started in the industry when I was 15. I am always looking to help others that have that same vision and goal.
There will be a quiz from what the student has learned from the class.
2 files available upon enrollmentA PDF Document and PowerPoint of what will be discussed will be provided.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
I will respond to each student's homework and help assist them with their goals and also point them in the right direction in order to achieve their goals.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
A parent can be present, but it is not a requirement.
