In this class we will review what is an antonym while playing games that includes reviewing and helping reinforce students' understanding of antonyms. Students and I will discuss what is an antonym and have an open discussion. For example, an antonym for 'good' is 'bad', and an antonym for 'hot' is 'cold'. Antonyms are useful in descriptive writing, as they allow us express things in powerful, impactful ways. Students will be placed into groups for a fun activity to help them learn. Students will be given a word, the student must choose the correct antonym. (Example) What is the antonym for the word: hot A. cold B. warm C. dark D. nice This allows students to have fun while learning and helps them reinforce a skill that might be challenging to them.

Hello there! 👋 I'm Mrs. Destiney, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be here with you! I have been happily married for 10 years. As a homeschooling mom of two wonderful kids, I've got a full house on our farm that includes one dog, chickens and lots of cattle. My goal is to allow learners explore farm life, see live animals and more!
If you don’t see a time that fits with your schedule, please let me know and I’d be happy to open up another time for your learner if it works out.
