Class experience
Students will explore how we can take care of the Earth through literature and a hands-on art project. Students will discuss the book "What a Wonderful World" (based on Louis Armstrong's lyrics). We will explore the lyrics and the illustrations and discover the things around us that inspire and make us happy. We will talk about how we can help the Earth maintain its beauty. One way to help the Earth is to reuse things instead of throwing them away. Students will watch as a model project...
The students will learn to appreciate nature and the world around them through literature and discussions. The students will learn about Earth Day and different ways to help the Earth. The students will learn how create artwork out of leftover paper scraps, newspaper, etc..
As a children’s author and illustrator, as well as elementary school teacher, I enjoy teaching young learners the process of creating art that is meaningful and reflects their own interests.
