In this one-time class, students will learn the process of writing a screenplay, from brainstorming to drafting and a final feature-length screenplay.
Class experience
Students will learn the broad aspects of what goes into writing a screenplay, covering brainstorming ideas, character development, drafting, and final product (which students can finish on their own). The class will start with the idea of formatting and brainstorming (asking students what kind of stories they like/want to hear), discussing characters and what makes characters feel fleshed-out, and then beginning to write.
