I have spent my entire adult-life in a variety of classrooms in a variety of roles. This being said, I have learned how to assist students in ways that work for them. I hope to build relationships with my students and to use what they are interested in as a platform to help them learn. This makes learning natural and fun! I am happy to help with reading, phonics, grammar, spelling, and analysis I am patient, persistent, relational and creative as I strive to support learners in their academic careers.
Learning Goals
During the first meeting, the student and I (as well as their parent if they prefer) can establish what each week will look like, what content needs to be covered, and for how many weeks the tutoring will last.
Examples of how I could help:
- Assist in reading comprehension
- Assist in grammar, spelling, vocabulary
- Practice analysis through images and open-ended questions
