The learner NEEDS to have taken my class Tricks to Learning Multiplication Tables (or Tricks to Learn Multiplication Tables for Older Students) before taking this class. We will take what we learned in that class and apply it to learning division tables. We will revisit some of the rhymes and strategies used in multiplication and switch them around to help us with our division facts. We can do this because of Fact Families where one equation can lead to knowing four equations! In addition to that, we can learn to use number logic to help us estimate the correct answer.
Learning Goals
Remember how much you learned in Tricks to Learning Multiplication Tables? Now we will tap into that knowledge to help you with your division tables. We will revisit some of the rhymes (that's Ducky's favorite part) and switch them around to help with the division facts. Each student will benefit from having a piece of paper (or 7 each 3x5 cards) and a pencil.

I taught elementary math for over three decades. During that time I developed several little tricks to help students with their multiplication and division tables. To tell you the truth, when I was a child I had a hard time learning my math facts; so I want to help others not go through that same difficulty. In addition to being a teacher, I also know ventriloquism (which adds to the enjoyment of the class), and I was a professional clown for 15 years (the funny kind, not the scarry kind)!Reviews
