In this one-time class, we will read stories like "The Busy Tree", by Jennifer Ward and "This Tree Counts", by Alison Ashley Formento and learn the names of the parts of a tree, how trees grow and how trees help us, what kinds of things we make from trees and who lives in trees! Students will listen to stories and ask and answer questions throughout the readings, practice taking turns talking, listening and sharing observations about trees. We will also work on our fine motor and direction following and number skills while we practice counting when we play our apple tree game using the provided printable for enrolled learners.
