This six-week class gives students many of the tools needed to figure out the answer to many problems. These skills are practiced through games. Any knowledge acquired in a fun and entertaining way is easier to understand and, therefore, more memorable. Problems can be conquered when the way to solve them is simple to access.

over 6 WeeksLesson 1:
Flip a Coin
We will practice solving word problems through the use of factorials and permutations. We will deduce the information given and the required answer together through a step-by-step process. Each example will be completed together with the necessary steps explained. 55 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Conversion Aversion
Learners will learn about the six common metric prefixes and the values they have. We will review each prefix and converting units from standard units (meter, gram, liter) to those we study (kilo. hecto. deka, deci, centi, milli). 55 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Give them an inch, they take a mile.
The goal is for students to use ratios to change the units in a description (like ounces to pounds or yard to centimeter for instance.). 55 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Express Yourself
In this class learners will solve for a variable in a simple algebraic expression. For each expression the student will be asked which number is with the variable and what is the opposite of that number in order to move it to the other side of the equal sign. 55 mins online live lesson
