The Zoology Club: Let's Learn About Animals and Make Weekly Crafts

In this ongoing class, students will learn about a new animal each week. The students will learn about the animal's physical characteristics, habitat, diet, and some fun facts. They will engage in discussions about the animal through a vibrant slide show. They will use their new knowledge to participate in games (trivia games, guessing games, etc...) They will complete a simple craft for each animal. Some examples of animals covered are: horses, bearded dragon lizards, lovebirds, polar bears, zebras, cheetahs, clown fish, etc... Here is the breakdown of the weeks: Week of May 11: Hamsters Supplies Needed: Paper (whatever colors you would like your hamster to be) Scissors Glue Coloring materials Week of May 18: Budgie Birds Week of May 25: Otters Week of June 1: Naked Mole Rats Week of June 15: Snails Week of June 22: Howler Monkeys Week of June 29: Quetzal Week of July 6: Seahorses Week of July 13: Emus Week of July 20: Bison Week of July 27: Rhinos No prior knowledge about animals is required in order to enjoy these classes. Learning Goals
Students will learn facts about a different animal each class. Students will be able to answer trivia questions about the animal studied. Students will complete a craft for each animal.

Supply List
A supply list will be sent out at least one week before each class. Here are some examples of supplies you may need: Construction paper White paper Markers/colored pencils/crayons Scissors Glue (stick or liquid) Paint and paintbrushes If you are ever missing any of the materials, just let me know! There are always alternatives, or you can simply draw the animal of the week.
