Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
The world of Zoology is so immense (and exciting) that sometimes it’s hard to slow down and take a deeper dive into the many layers within the Animal Kingdom. In this ongoing class, we will discuss a new Zoological topic each week. This may include specific creatures or groups of creatures, anatomical or physiological traits, adaptations, careers involving animals, news articles etc. In addition to my own themes and ideas, students will also have input in the weekly themes as well.

This is an ongoing class meaning that students are able to stay in the class for as long as they wish and can join in at any time.

Here are the current themes – keep in mind some may make a reappearance as some are bulkier topics than others (for example, migration or reptiles). They are typically updated on Saturdays

**Please note - there is one Monday each month that I have a work meeting that overlaps with these classes. Therefore, there will be one missed week each month and I will communicate that in the classroom and to the class in the meetings. Please keep an eye out on when the next class is :)

Parental Guidance
Topics will range in level of difficulty and some topics may be harder to understand than others depending on your learner's level. For example, animal physiology may include higher level terminology than a week talking about big cats. In addition, some lessons may touch on evolution, predator/prey, and reproduction. Some news articles may also touch on the above when used. Youtube may be used at times to help create a multi-media approach
