In this One-Day class, two insects will be introduced (If time permits, a third will be added). With the use of flashcards, worksheets, props, discussion and short videos, students will learn a variety of random and fun insect facts. I will add information on the region from which the bugs are native in order to incorporate some Geography into the lesson. This class is designed to be an introduction to bugs (suborder heteroptera, arachnid, anthropod). I have limited the use of scientific terms for the purpose of incorporating additional information. If you prefer a more scientific lesson or your student shows interest in pursuing continued lessons, let me know. Then, keep a lookout for a more advanced "Bugs" class for older students. 😊 OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Several printable worksheets/coloring pages will be available after enrollment. These activities can be completed during class time, before the class begins or after the class is completed. A printable poster depicting the two insects introduced during the class will be available for download immediately following the class, as well as the student's Certificate of Completion.
Learning Goals
Students will be taught about 2 different kinds of "Weird" Bugs from around the world. I will also introduce the part of the world the bug is native to in order to slip in a mini geography lesson...shhhh..it's our secret!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I spent most of my youth as a "Professional Student" (my Mom's term to describe me). I was constantly enrolled in a class or workshop of some kind. I have always had a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. Now, with the knowledge I've gained, I have a new love. Teaching others has become the brightest part of my life so far.
I never forget that each and every student in my class is somebody's whole world...and it's always an honor to be their Teacher.
Join me and have the most fun you've ever had learning!
