During class, students will engage in an in-class discussion accompanied by an interesting Powerpoint presentation and a Youtube video showcasing how these fish move and their spawning behavior. Students will learn all about the morphology, diet, habitat, spawning behavior, and history during class. Students are encouraged to ask questions and answer some of the questions that will be asked during class.
Learning Goals
After class, students will be able to describe the burbot's morphology, habitat preferences, diet, spawning behavior, and history. This will be accomplished through an in-class discussion accompanied by a Powerpoint presentation and a Youtube video showcasing swimming and spawning behavior.Other Details

My name is Kennedi Travis and I have a passion for passing on knowledge! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Management from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD, and worked for the state of South Dakota as a Fisheries Technician for three years. I also participated in Spider Studies and DWU for two years identifying different types of wolf spiders found in the state of South Dakota. I have vast experience volunteering in local classrooms on my days off.
Science, particularly Biology, is one of my favorite things to teach and I also have a special love for history. I value teaching learners of all ages and feel that knowledge is our most valuable resource.
