In this one-time class, students will learn interesting facts about sharks, work on the digraph /sh/, and talk about words that rhyme with shark.
Class experience
In this class we will learn all about sharks! We will discuss some interesting physical characteristics of sharks and observe several different types of sharks. The second half of our class will focus on the digraph /sh/ and rhyming words. We will practice spelling and reading the /sh/ sound on its own and in different words, and we will talk about rhyming words and focus on words in the -ark word family. Students will be able to describe sharks. They will be able to read and spell the digraph /sh/ and will be able to generate words in the -ark work family.
